Ukraine is tightening control over school attendance. The police will promptly receive information about students who do not show up for classes without a valid reason.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the head of the juvenile prevention department of the National Police, Vasyl Bohdan.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The government has approved changes to the procedure for registering preschool and school-age children. The decision provides for faster exchange of information between educational institutions, children’s services, and units of the National Police.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The innovations will allow for a prompt response to cases where a child is absent from school or has dropped out of the educational process. At the same time, the changes define clear deadlines for data processing and information transmission.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Bohdan, the updated mechanism should strengthen the protection of the child’s right to education and safety, as well as improve interaction between authorities and educational institutions. <\/p>\n
