Bilateral negotiations between Ukraine and the United States have concluded in Geneva. The parties are already preparing the next round, which may take place in a trilateral format with the participation of the Russian Federation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, the negotiations took place in two formats – separately with the American side and in a trilateral meeting with the participation of the US and Switzerland.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After the meetings, Umerov, along with David Arakhamia, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, held a joint conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the results and next steps.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The negotiators are working to finalize security parameters, economic solutions, and agreed positions that could become the basis for further agreements. According to Umerov, the goal is to make the upcoming trilateral meeting with the participation of the United States and Russia as substantive as possible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The parties paid special attention to the economic bloc and long-term support mechanisms for Ukraine. The Ukrainian and American teams will continue work on a document on reconstruction and investment plan.<\/p>\n

Umerov thanked Switzerland for organizing the negotiations, as well as US President Donald Trump and his team for their involvement in the process.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, on February 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with White House President Donald Trump.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Zelensky reported on progress in the military direction during the trilateral negotiations<\/a> in the Ukraine-US-Russia format on ending the war.<\/p>\n
