Paris seeks to ensure the autonomy of European security, which it has been working on since 2017. An important element of this system is the involvement of the UK&#8217;s nuclear potential, although there are currently restrictions on ground-based carriers, which remain under US control, explains Shkyl.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, Macron&#8217;s strategy assumes that Ukraine should become an integral part of the region&#8217;s security sector. It is on this basis, the former MP is convinced, that close relations between Paris and Kyiv are currently being built, which will allow Europe to depend less on Washington&#8217;s decisions.<\/p>\n<p> Instead, Russian foreign intelligence is spreading claims that France may be transferring nuclear warheads to Ukraine in an attempt to manipulate the Western establishment. Andriy Shkil called such reports far from reality, but explained why Paris is of particular concern to the Kremlin.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;No one will ever give Ukraine a nuclear warhead. That&#8217;s for sure. The question is different. Why is Russia wary and why was France specifically mentioned here,&#8221; the guest on the air noted.<\/p>\n\n<p> However, in his opinion, if Ukraine is ever ready to create its own means of defense, France could be the most likely partner. Unlike other nuclear powers, Paris has the full cycle of technologies for the operation of enrichment reactors necessary for the functioning of weapons, Shkil explained.<\/p>\n<p> It was previously reported that European countries discussed <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/yevropa-rozghliadaie-vlasnyy-iadernyy-potentsial-cherez-zminu-polityky-trampa\/\">creating their own nuclear deterrent<\/a> during security talks in Munich due to declining confidence in Donald Trump&#8217;s policy on the security of allies. The discussion envisages a possible strengthening of European defense capabilities in parallel with the US deterrent system.<\/p>\n<p> Subsequently, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the country&#8217;s updated nuclear doctrine, outlining what Paris could offer allies concerned about the reliability of the American &#8220;nuclear umbrella.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> Instead, on the morning of February 24, Russian agencies began circulating a statement by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service about the alleged preparation of the transfer of nuclear weapons by Great Britain and France to Ukraine. The reports claimed that the transfer could be disguised as Kyiv&#8217;s own development.
