Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to meet with Vladimir Putin for talks and would do everything to end the war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made<\/a> the relevant statement in an interview with Sky News.<\/p>\n

“The United States is much stronger than it thinks it is. It can put pressure on Putin and stop this war,” Zelensky said.<\/p>\n

He called on Washington to tighten sanctions against the families of the Russian leadership and provide Ukraine with modern weapons, because only in this way will Moscow take the negotiations seriously.<\/p>\n

The president added that there is now a “window of opportunity” for peace that lasts until the November US midterm elections.<\/p>\n

“If there is an opportunity to achieve peace, we have this window now. Everything depends on these months and whether we can end the war by the fall,” Zelenskyy noted.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, bilateral negotiations between Ukraine and the United States concluded in Geneva the day before. The parties are already preparing the next round, which may take place in a trilateral format with the participation of the Russian Federation.<\/a><\/p>\n
