From March 1, 2026, a number of decisions related to pensions, social support for military families, cash circulation, National Cashback, and other areas will come into effect in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Increasing payments to military families<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

From March, Cabinet Resolution No. 154 will come into force, which strengthens social protection for the families of killed, deceased, and missing servicemen.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The minimum payment for each disabled family member and for one child of the deceased will be UAH 12,810 instead of UAH 7,800. For families with two or more members, the benefit will increase to UAH 10,020 per person instead of UAH 6,100. Starting in 2027, these amounts will be indexed annually from March 1.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Pension indexation by 12.1 percent<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Pensions will be indexed by 12.1 percent from March 1. The increase will affect more than 10 million pensioners. The supplement will range from UAH 100 to UAH 2,595, depending on the amount of payments.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Indexation will be provided to pensioners of the general system, military pensioners, persons with disabilities as a result of the Chernobyl disaster, and other categories. The increase is not provided for those who already receive the minimum guaranteed level or the maximum pension of UAH 25,950, as well as for retired prosecutors and judges.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

New National Cashback Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Starting in March, the National Cashback program will operate at two rates – 5 and 15 percent, depending on the product category.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

15 percent will be charged on Ukrainian goods in segments with a high share of imports, including cosmetics, clothing, footwear, household chemicals and certain food products. 5 percent will apply to most food products, medicines and garden products.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You can check the amount of cashback through the Diya application.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Withdrawal of banknotes and a new 200 UAH note<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Starting March 2, the National Bank of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> will withdraw from circulation 1, 2, 5, and 10 hryvnia banknotes of 2003-2007. They will be replaced by circulation coins. Exchange will be carried out without a commission.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Also, modified 200 UAH banknotes with the slogan Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Heroes appeared in cash circulation. The old banknotes remain valid.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Other changes in March<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Manufacturers and sellers of excisable goods will report using new forms. Workers in the energy, housing and utilities sectors and Ukrzaliznytsia will continue to receive a supplement of UAH 20,000 for participating in restoration work.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Some mobile operators will revise their tariffs due to rising costs for electricity and backup power.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On the night of March 29, the country is due to switch to daylight saving time if the decision to cancel the seasonal clock change does not come into effect by then.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, analysts predict an increase in gasoline and diesel prices due to the risks of an aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, which could affect global oil markets.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Recall that from March 1, 2026, pensions in Ukraine will be indexed by 12.1 percent, but the amount of the increase will be different for each pensioner.<\/a><\/p>\n
