Head of the Presidential Office and member of the Ukrainian negotiating team, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the Russian side had agreed to accept security guarantees for Ukraine offered by the United States. He said that progress had also been made in the military subgroup on control over the demilitarized zone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He spoke about this on the air of the telethon “United News”.<\/p>\n

Budanov noted that during previous negotiations, the Russian side directly stated its readiness to accept security guarantees from the United States.<\/p>\n

” At past negotiations, the Russian side directly said that they would accept the security guarantees offered to Ukraine by the United States,<\/strong> ” said Kirill Budanov.<\/p>\n

He added that the issue of control over the demilitarized zone is within the competence of the military subgroup, where maximum progress has been achieved.<\/p>\n

“They came to conclusions about how monitoring will work when the war ends,” said Kyrylo Budanov.<\/p>\n

Regarding the territorial issue, according to Budanov, the parties are looking for a compromise between two polar positions.<\/p>\n

“We haven’t found it yet. I hope we will. We don’t have much time for this. In the end, we will have to state: either we have found a solution and are ending this war, or… we continue to kill each other, which we are doing quite qualitatively and professionally,” said Kyrylo Budanov.<\/p>\n

He also stated that the current state of the Russian army does not allow it to launch an offensive on Kyiv.<\/p>\n

Separately, Budanov noted that Ukraine must be prepared for a possible increase in the number of terrorist attacks similar to the incident that recently occurred in Lviv.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the United States of America has declared its readiness to ratify security guarantees<\/a> in the US Congress.<\/p>\n

On the eve, Zelenskyy said that the document on security guarantees for Ukraine is fully prepared<\/a> . Currently, Kyiv is waiting for a signal from the United States of America regarding the place and date of its signing.<\/p>\n

Recall that security guarantees from the United States for Ukraine may depend on Kyiv’s readiness to withdraw troops<\/a> from the unoccupied areas of Donbas.<\/p>\n
