Over the past three months, Russian military forces have carried out 14 massive strikes on Ukrainian regions. The Air Force said that winter has become a challenge for the air defense system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by the press service of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian SSR.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The occupiers once again tried to cause a complete blackout for Ukrainians and destroy the state’s critical infrastructure, using an unprecedented number of missiles and drones,” the report says.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, during December-January, Ukrainian air defense repelled 7 massive strikes, and in February \u2014 the same number. The enemy combined launches of strike UAVs and missiles of various types to complicate the work of Ukrainian air defense and exhaust resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

On December 6, the Russian army launched its largest strike on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. The occupiers then used 704 air targets, including 51 missiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted by the Air Force, in December the enemy maintained an \u201cextremely high level of load,\u201d using from almost 500 to over 670 air targets during attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

January was a period of intensive use of ballistics. This month, the Russians struck with Oreshnik and Zircon.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February, the occupiers fired the largest number of rockets in a single strike this winter, 71 units.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, the FS warned that the enemy is increasing the use of Iskander-M, Kinzhal, Zircon, Kh-22\/32, S-300\/S-400 missiles. Over three months, more than 700 missiles of various types were used.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDespite these challenges, the Ukrainian sky has stood firm. The energy system has been preserved thanks to the professionalism of the anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, radio engineering troops, aviation, and unmanned systems units. Each intercepted missile is proof that we have become stronger, more technologically advanced, and more experienced,\u201d the press service emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, in February 2026, Ukraine’s air defense destroyed over 30,000 air targets<\/a> . Among them are missiles of various types, strike and reconnaissance drones.<\/p>\n
