The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> has appointed four international and two Ukrainian experts to the new supervisory board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> .<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko<\/span><\/span> announced this.<\/p>\n

The following members joined the council as independent international representatives:<\/p>\n

Robert Sleszynski (Poland) is an expert in corporate governance and energy.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Erik Rasmussen (Denmark) is a specialist in energy and infrastructure financing, particularly at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development<\/span><\/span> . He participated in the corporate governance reform of Ukrainian state-owned enterprises, including Naftogaz.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Duncan Nightingale (Canada) specializes in operational management of energy asset production and development. He previously chaired the supervisory board of PJSC Ukrnafta and implemented Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development<\/span><\/span> standards.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Thor Martin Anfinnsen (Norway) – held senior positions at the Norwegian energy company Equinor<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Anna Artemenko and State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Kostiantyn Maryevich have been appointed to the Supervisory Board from Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Previously, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption<\/a> Prosecutor’s Office announced the exposure of a scheme to embezzle funds intended for “green” tariff payments, which was used by commercial energy generating companies located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that NABU and SAP submitted documents to place businessmen Timur Mindich and Alexander Tsukerman, defendants in the “Midas” case involving corruption in the energy sector, on Interpol’s wanted list<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder, only 19% of Ukrainians surveyed believe that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was unaware of corruption in his circle<\/a> and was not involved in the “Mindich scheme.”<\/p>\n
