Apple<\/span><\/span> has expanded its iPhone 17 lineup and introduced a new model, the iPhone 17e. The smartphone is positioned as a more affordable option with a modern processor, an updated modem, and a 48-megapixel camera.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new product was announced on the company’s official blog.<\/p>\n

Design and display<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The iPhone 17e features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with peak brightness of up to 1200 nits in HDR mode. The front panel is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which, according to Apple, is three times more scratch-resistant than the previous generation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The body is made of aerospace-grade aluminum. The smartphone is IP68 water and dust resistant.<\/p>\n

Performance and connectivity<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The model is powered by the new A19 chip, manufactured using a 3-nanometer process. The processor features six CPU cores and a quad-core GPU with hardware ray tracing support. According to the company, the CPU performance is twice that of the iPhone 11.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The smartphone also received a new C1X modem developed by Apple itself \u2013 it is up to two times faster than the C1 in the previous model and consumes less energy.<\/p>\n

iPhone 17e supports 5G, Wi-Fi, MagSafe, and Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W.<\/p>\n

48 MP camera and 4K video<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Fusion’s 48MP main camera supports 2x optical zoom without a separate telephoto lens. Photos can be stored in either 24MP or 48MP formats.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Portrait mode has been improved\u2014the smartphone automatically stores scene depth data, allowing you to adjust focus after shooting. 4K Dolby Vision video recording at up to 60 fps and spatial audio are now supported.<\/p>\n

Battery life and charging<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Apple claims all-day battery life thanks to the A19’s energy efficiency and new modem. Fast charging via USB-C allows you to get up to 50% charge in about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Also available is a MagSafe magnetic system with accessory support.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Security and communication functions<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The smartphone supports:
– emergency SOS via satellite
communication via satellite
– roadside assistance
– geolocation transfer via Find My
– detection of road accidents with automatic calling of emergency services<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

iPhone 17e comes with iOS 26 and new Apple Intelligence features.<\/p>\n

Price and start of sales<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The model is available in 256GB and 512GB versions. The base 256GB version starts at $599.<\/p>\n

Pre-orders start on March 4th, with sales beginning on March 11th.<\/p>\n
