On Tuesday, March 3, Ukraine received the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/a> by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine today received the first tranche from the IMF under a new four-year program under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF),” the post says.<\/p>\n

She noted that $1.5 billion has already been credited and will be used to finance priority budget expenditures and support macro-financial stability.<\/p>\n

The total volume of the program is $8.1 billion.<\/p>\n

It should be added that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has attracted $14.9 billion in financial support from the IMF to the state budget.<\/p>\n

“We continue to implement agreed reforms aimed at maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening state institutions, and advancing the course towards European integration,” the head of government summarized.<\/p>\n

Recall, earlier the IMF Board of Directors approved a new four-year extended financing program for Ukraine in the amount of $8.1 billion.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition, on February 11, the European Parliament adopted a package of proposals aimed at supporting Ukraine with an EU loan of \u20ac90 billion for 2026 and 2027.<\/a> These funds will help meet Ukraine’s urgent financing needs amid Russia’s aggressive war.<\/p>\n
