The main goal of the United States regarding Iran is to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> US Vice President J.D. Vance, Fox News reports.<\/p>\n

“The president doesn’t just want to protect the country from Iranian nuclear weapons for the first three or four years of his second term – he wants to make sure that Iran can never have nuclear weapons, and that requires a fundamental change in the mindset of the Iranian regime,” Vance explained.<\/p>\n

He also emphasized that Iranian nuclear facilities were created not only for peaceful uranium enrichment, as the authorities in Tehran claim, but also for the purpose of developing nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the vice president emphasized that there is no talk of a long-term military operation: “Trump will not allow the country to get involved in a multi-year conflict… we are not going to get involved in the problems that we had with Iraq and Afghanistan,” he added.<\/p>\n
