Some European countries and the European Commission are asking Ukraine to provide access to the damaged section of the Druzhba oil pipeline.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Europe demands that Ukraine allow specialists to check the condition of the pipeline in the Lviv region.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, the heads of the European Commission and the European Council, during their visit to Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of the invasion, asked the authorities to inspect Druzhba, but were allegedly refused.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to one European official, Ukraine scored an \u201cown goal,\u201d giving Hungary a pretext to block a multibillion-dollar loan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t say whether there is damage or not. There are very simple ways to document it and show that active repair work is underway. This has not been done,\u201d the source assured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead, a Ukrainian official denied this in a comment to journalists, emphasizing that evidence had been provided.<\/span><\/p>\n

Separately, during a briefing on March 3, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal<\/span> stated<\/span><\/a> that a Russian drone had hit one of the largest reservoirs.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the attack, much of the internal equipment was damaged by the temperature.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This is not visible from the outside, but it is a large amount of work. Now the Naftogaz company is completing the defect detection. Accordingly, after completion, an estimate will be calculated, the time and necessary funds will be calculated to repair it,” the head of the department explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

As is known, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the possible cessation of electricity supplies to Ukraine<\/a> if oil transit through the Druzhba oil pipeline is not resumed. According to him, a significant part of electricity comes to Ukraine from Hungary, and its cessation could have consequences.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he may initiate the termination of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine<\/a> if oil transit is not restored by Monday, February 23.<\/p>\n
