Westminster Magistrates’ Court<\/span><\/span> in London has refused to extradite wanted MP Artem Dmytruk<\/span><\/span> to Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Business Wire reports<\/u><\/a> this, citing the law firm Amsterdam&Partners LLP.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is noted that the court rejected the extradition request, citing Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights<\/span><\/span> , which guarantees the right to respect for private and family life.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The company claimed that Dmitruk was allegedly tortured by the Security Service of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> in March 2022. Based on this, the defense argued that his transfer to Ukraine could violate this right.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The law firm also noted that Ukraine now has 14 days to decide whether to appeal the court’s decision. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
