The European Union is considering the option of allocating funding to Ukraine for the repair of the Druzhba oil pipeline.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the Bloomberg news agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

This decision may be made because Hungary and Slovakia are threatening to block a multi-billion dollar loan for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia until the pipeline resumes operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In turn, the European Commission proposes to allocate funds through the budget assistance it provides to Ukraine, as well as to send experts for an inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Bloomberg sources, the Druzhba has been damaged about 20 times since the start of the full-scale war. However, after the January attack, which the leaders of Hungary and Slovakia did not acknowledge, it faced serious damage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ukraine and the EC are currently negotiating to send a European mission to the site to inspect damage to the oil pipeline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us remind you that some pro-Ukrainian European states and the European Commission are putting pressure on Ukraine<\/a> through the Druzhba oil pipeline.<\/p>\n

As is known, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the possible cessation of electricity supplies to Ukraine<\/a> if oil transit through the Druzhba oil pipeline is not resumed. According to him, a significant part of electricity comes to Ukraine from Hungary, and its cessation could have consequences.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he may initiate the termination of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine<\/a> if oil transit is not restored by Monday, February 23.<\/p>\n

By the way, the state-owned energy company SEPS announced its intention to terminate the contract with NPC Ukrenergo for emergency electricity supply<\/a> after a corresponding decision by the Slovak government.<\/p>\n
