The National Police of Ukraine has opened criminal cases over the kidnapping of seven Ukrainian collectors and a company car of Oschadbank in Hungary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the National Police.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian police officers from the Department of International Police Cooperation have contacted Europol, the Hungarian Tax and Customs Service and the Hungarian police through official channels. They are currently coordinating joint actions to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. Investigative actions are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Information about the kidnapping was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. The case was opened under articles on illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping of a person and taking hostages.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Foreign Minister Andriy Szybiga stated that Hungarian authorities in Budapest detained seven Ukrainian citizens \u2014 employees of Oschadbank \u2014 and seized the money they were transporting.<\/a><\/p>\n

It should be noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited the country’s anti-terrorist center on the day the Ukrainian tax collection vehicles transiting through Hungary to Ukraine were seized<\/a> . Later that day, security forces from this unit seized tax collection vehicles with currency and gold.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Hungary.<\/a><\/p>\n

Subsequently, the media reported that seven Oschadbank collectors, who had previously been detained in Hungary, had been deported from the country.<\/a><\/p>\n
