US President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff said that new progress may appear in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He wrote<\/a> about this on the social network X.<\/p>\n

According to Witkoff, the negotiation process is ongoing.<\/p>\n

“Negotiations are ongoing, and further progress is expected in the coming weeks,” he noted.<\/p>\n

The special representative also emphasized that work on a peace agreement continues.<\/p>\n

“Under the President’s leadership, we continue to achieve significant results while working to formulate a peace agreement that will permanently end the war,” Witkoff wrote.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the Swiss government for organizing the talks and US President Donald Trump for “leading the way in advancing diplomacy towards a resolution to the conflict.”<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the next round of trilateral talks could take place in Europe in the coming days. Possible locations include Switzerland, Austria, the Vatican, or Turkey.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War said that Russia could use the conflict in the Middle East to discredit peace talks on Ukraine<\/a> . In their opinion, the Kremlin may be trying to shift responsibility for the possible failure of the talks to the United States.<\/p>\n
