The United States<\/span><\/span> has officially asked Ukraine<\/span><\/span> to share its experience in intercepting Iranian Shahed<\/span><\/span> attack drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Politico<\/span><\/span><\/a> reports this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the publication, Iran’s<\/span><\/span> swift counterattack using cheap and easy-to-produce drones after the start of the US-Israeli military campaign demonstrated the vulnerability of the US and its regional allies.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In this regard, Washington<\/span><\/span> is seeking to utilize the combat experience of the Ukrainian military in the fight against such drones.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The publication’s sources reported that Brigadier General Matt Ross,<\/span><\/span> along with members of the US interagency task force tasked with developing and procuring counter-drone capabilities, visited Ukraine. During the visit, they discussed with Ukrainian military personnel the Ukrainian Armed Forces’<\/span><\/span> experience in repelling massive drone attacks.<\/p>\n

In particular, Iranian Shahed drones were able to hit an American military base in Kuwait<\/span><\/span> , killing six servicemen.<\/p>\n

These drones also cause significant damage to civilian infrastructure in the Middle East<\/span><\/span> . Therefore, some Persian Gulf<\/span><\/span> countries have already approached Kyiv for advice and are considering purchasing cheaper Ukrainian-made interception systems.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the United States and a Middle Eastern country are negotiating<\/a> with Ukraine to purchase interceptor drones to counter Iranian drone attacks.<\/p>\n
