This concerns the bank&#8217;s property that was transported by employees during the collection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is stated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/oschadbank\/posts\/pfbid0rRWdTn5Ahuoe4hnudSVHhEwNKmk1nR2NAN6YDYueuV1fYgBjwzNxtFSdSuR5ch5Gl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the official statement<\/a> of Oschadbank JSC.<\/p>\n<p> The bank stated that on March 5, 2026, 7 employees of Oschadbank, 2 collection cars, and the valuables they were transporting were illegally detained in Hungary. The Ukrainian citizens subsequently returned home, but the cars and property remain detained.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;After the illegal seizure in Hungary on March 5, 2026 of seven Oschadbank employees, two collection vehicles, and the valuables they were transporting, the citizens of Ukraine returned home. But the vehicles and valuables still remain illegally detained,&#8221; the bank said.<\/p>\n<p> The financial institution emphasized that the protection of its rights in this incident will be carried out in two directions. In particular, the bank plans to appeal the decision of the Hungarian Migration Service regarding the restrictive measures imposed on the employees of the collection team.<\/p>\n<p> Oschadbank also announced its intention to investigate possible violations of the rights of employees during their detention, as they were held in custody for more than 24 hours without access to legal assistance and consular support.<\/p>\n<p> A separate direction will be the return of the bank&#8217;s property that was seized. This concerns:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> 2 collection vehicles;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> values worth $40 million;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> 35 million euros;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> 9 kg of bank gold.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The bank emphasized that they are fully confident in the legality of their actions. All information and supporting documents have already been transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, Oschadbank plans to contact one of the leading international companies to conduct an independent audit of the processes and contractual relations between the parties involved in the transportation of funds and valuables.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Oschadbank demands the return of its collection machines and the valuables they transported in full,&#8221; the financial institution emphasized.<\/p>\n<p> \t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/detention-of-debt-collectors-in-hungary-what-is-the-real-reason\/\">Detention of debt collectors in Hungary: what is the real reason?<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\nRecall that recently the Hungarian authorities in Budapest <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/uhorska-vlada-zatrymala-simokh-pratsivnykiv-oshchadbanku-mzs\/\">detained seven Ukrainian citizens<\/a> &#8211; employees of Oschadbank &#8211; and seized the money they were transporting. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/orban-vidviduvav-antyterorystychnyy-tsentr-naperedodni-zakhoplennia-ukrainskykh-inkasatoriv\/\">visited the anti-terrorist center<\/a> on the day of the seizure of the Ukrainian collection vehicles. Later that day, the security forces of this unit seized a car with currency and gold.<\/p>\n<p> Subsequently, seven Oschadbank collectors who had previously been detained in Hungary <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/zatrymanykh-inkasatoriv-oshchadbanku-deportuvaly-z-uhorshchyny-zmi\/\">were deported from the country<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukraina-povernula-simokh-inkasatoriv-oshchadbanku-z-uhorshchyny\/\">returned to Ukraine<\/a> . Meanwhile, the National Bank of Ukraine is working to <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nbu-pratsiuie-nad-povernenniam-vantazhu-z-inkasatorskykh-avto-zatrymanykh-v-uhorshchyni\/\">return the cargo from the collector&#8217;s cars<\/a> that were detained by the Hungarian authorities. The regulator called the incident a provocation without legal grounds.<\/p>\n<p> In turn, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that the actions of the Hungarian side towards the collectors <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nahaduie-moskvu-v-90-kh-svyrydenko-vidreahuvala-na-zatrymannia-ukrainskykh-inkasatoriv-v-uhorshchyni\/\">resemble situations that took place in Moscow in the 1990s<\/a> . She also called on international partners to react harshly to the incident.
