Counterintelligence of the Security Service in the Donetsk region has detained a person who coordinated Russian air strikes. He turned out to be a former head of a shop at a local machine-building plant recruited by the enemy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press center of the SBU.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the man came into the sights of racists when he resigned from the company.<\/p>\n

Then the defendant was approached and offered cooperation by his former subordinate, who had joined the armed groups of the Russian Federation in 2014 and was carrying out recruitment tasks for Russian special services.<\/p>\n

Having agreed to the “offer”, the agent began collecting Defense Forces locations against which the enemy was preparing strikes.<\/p>\n

Among the priority “targets” of the occupiers were reserve command posts, logistics centers, and UAV units of the Ukrainian troops in Kramatorsk and its surroundings.<\/p>\n

To track the coordinates of the objects, the agent walked around the area, avoiding visual contact with the military and law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n

During such reconnaissance sorties, he marked the discovered locations of the Defense Forces on a Google map to form an intelligence “report” for the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

“At this stage, SBU officers have already documented every step of the suspect and secured the bases of Ukrainian defenders in advance,” the post says.<\/p>\n

At the final stage of the counterintelligence operation, the attacker was detained.<\/p>\n

During the searches, a smartphone containing evidence of working for the enemy was seized from the detainee.<\/p>\n

Currently, SBU investigators have informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).<\/p>\n

The perpetrator is being held without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

Comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU officers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the SBU detained an FSB agent in Kyiv<\/a> who was preparing a new attack on defense-industrial complex enterprises and thermal power plants.<\/p>\n

As reported, the SBU counterintelligence and the National Police prevented a terrorist attack in the center of Kharkiv and detained a 16-year-old Russian military intelligence agent.<\/a><\/p>\n
