On the night of March 13-14, 2026, special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine struck two Russian military vessels. As a result of the operation, the railway ferry “Slavyanin” was disabled and the ship “Avangard” was damaged.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the GUR.<\/p>\n

The intelligence service noted that the attack on the ships was carried out by units of the Department of Active Operations of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the agency, the attacked ships were used by Russia in military logistics during the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As a result of the operation, the railway ferry “Slavyanin” was disabled and the ship “Avangard” was damaged. Both ships were part of the so-called Kerch ferry.<\/p>\n

According to the GUR, these vessels played an important role in Russia’s maritime logistics, in particular, they were used to transport weapons, military equipment, and ammunition.<\/p>\n

In addition, during the operation, Ukrainian military forces struck the infrastructure of the Kavkaz port in Krasnodar Krai. According to intelligence, Russia is using this port to support its war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

By the way, on the night of March 14, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck enemy military and logistical infrastructure facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation<\/a> .<\/p>\n
