The Swedish Embassy in Ukraine announced that the country’s government is allocating an additional 56 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. The funds will be used to restore damaged infrastructure and strengthen the resilience of the energy system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in the relevant statement of the department.<\/p>\n

“Following this decision, Sweden’s total contribution to the fund exceeded 259 million euros,” the embassy noted.<\/p>\n

The funding will help restore energy facilities damaged by the attacks, as well as prepare the system for the next heating season.<\/p>\n

“The assistance is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy security in the face of constant attacks on critical infrastructure,” the diplomatic mission emphasized.<\/p>\n

The embassy added that Ukraine, together with international partners, continues to restore important facilities and works to ensure that the power system remains stable even during regular shelling.<\/p>\n

Recall, on February 19, the Swedish government approved the 21st package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 12.9 billion kronor<\/a> , which is about 1.2 billion euros.<\/p>\n
