On March 17, the Princess of Wales \u2014 Kate Middleton \u2014 joined the Irish Guards parade on St. Patrick’s Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In accordance with tradition, the princess presented shamrock sprigs to officers and guardsmen, as well as to the regimental mascot, the Irish Wolfhound.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the event, Kate Middleton awarded military personnel with medals for long service and impeccable conduct and met with junior cadets from Northern Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n
