A 28-year-old Ukrainian citizen was found dead in Romania after crossing the border through the mountains and losing the ability to move.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the rescue service of the Maramures province.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, the day before, at around 5:00 PM, border police stopped a Ukrainian at the foot of the mountain. He was a hundred meters from the border.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ukrainian told the border guards about his \u201ccompanion,\u201d who was in critical condition \u2014 with weakness and swelling in his leg. The man could not walk, he remained on a makeshift bed made of pine branches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rescuers later found him dead. According to them, the Ukrainian was without equipment, with bare ankles and wearing sneakers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis situation once again emphasizes how unforgiving the mountain environment is without proper preparation, especially in the conditions of stress and despair that prompted him to embark on this journey,\u201d the report says.<\/span><\/p>\n
