In Kharkiv, the SBU counterintelligence, together with the National Police, prevented a series of terrorist attacks in the city center. Law enforcement officers detained a Russian agent who was preparing explosions near administrative buildings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the SBU.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the attacker was supposed to make homemade explosive devices and plant them in crowded places. Russian special services planned to detonate them remotely – during rush hour, using calls to phones connected to the explosives.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers identified the suspect in advance and arrested him “red-handed” in a rented apartment while he was making explosives.<\/p>\n

As the investigation established, the perpetrator turned out to be an 18-year-old boy who was recruited through a Telegram channel with promises of “easy money.” Following the instructions of a curator from Russia, he purchased the necessary components and began assembling explosive devices.<\/p>\n

During the searches, chemical substances, electronic elements for detonation, and a phone with evidence of cooperation with Russian special services were seized from him.<\/p>\n

“SBU officers discovered the occupiers’ intentions in advance and detained the agent while making explosives,” the special service reported.<\/p>\n

The detainee has already been charged with preparing a terrorist attack. He is currently in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine prevented a new attempted terrorist attack in Rivne. An agent of the Russian special services was caught red-handed when he planted a homemade bomb near a cafe in the central park.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the SBU counterintelligence and the National Police prevented a terrorist attack in the center of Kharkiv and detained a 16-year-old Russian military intelligence agent.<\/a><\/p>\n
