The Russians are trying to catch up with Ukraine in the production of unmanned boats. The defense forces consider this threat real and are preparing for it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced during a telethon by Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the enemy had a head start, since it already had similar systems in service. However, now the Russians are forced to catch up with the Ukrainians in the field of production of naval drones.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo we consider this threat real? Yes, we do. Are we preparing? Yes, we are preparing. Is there scaling? Not yet,\u201d the spokesman noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pletenchuk explained that naval drones require rapid adaptation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm from our own experience that what works today may not work tomorrow,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the spokesman for the Navy noted, neither side is standing still, and countermeasures and tactics for using the systems are constantly evolving.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, the Ukrainian military has repeatedly recorded the use of unmanned boats by the Russians.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, some of them (applications \u2013 ed.) had consequences,\u201d said Pletenchuk.<\/span><\/p>\n
