The Russian ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga suspended shipments of oil and petroleum products after a drone attack on Sunday, March 22.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> Reuters, citing industry sources.<\/p>\n

The Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, confirmed a fire at several fuel tanks in Primorsk, but did not report a halt to exports.<\/p>\n

Primorsk remains a key port for the export of Russian Urals crude oil and diesel fuel, with a capacity exceeding 1 million barrels per day.<\/p>\n

According to Drozdenko, 35 drones were shot down over the Leningrad region. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the interception of 249 drones overnight. There is no information about damage to infrastructure in Ust-Luga yet.<\/p>\n

According to industry sources, last year 32.9 million tons of petroleum products were exported through Ust-Luga, and 16.8 million tons through Primorsk. Daily transshipment in Ust-Luga reaches about 700 thousand barrels.<\/p>\n

This month, drone attacks also affected the operation of the port of Novorossiysk, Russia’s largest export hub on the Black Sea.<\/p>\n
