The Central Election Commission called on Ukrainians abroad to actively update their electoral address before the upcoming elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CEC member Viktoria Glushchenko stated that the number of polling stations abroad directly depends on how many citizens notify in advance of their intention to vote.<\/p>\n

“The most effective measure to ensure voting rights would be active voter registration abroad. And depending on how well we can communicate with voters, we will be able to ensure universal suffrage,” she noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Glushchenko explained that Ukrainians can now change their voting address online through the State Voter Register. It is this data that allows lists to be formed and the need to open additional polling stations to be determined.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“This is how high-quality the voter list will be in the future at this polling station,” the CEC member added.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, the commission notes low citizen activity. According to Glushchenko, the number of those who have already used the online service remains insignificant and does not even reach thousands.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

She urged Ukrainians not to delay updating their data, as this affects not only the ability to vote, but also the organization of the electoral process in general.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, I invite all voters to change their electoral address, update their data and thus help not only the Central Election Commission, but also the state of Ukraine to organize elections in accordance with international standards,” she concluded.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that presidential elections in Ukraine in 2026 will not be held due to security risks and the unpreparedness of the legislative framework.<\/a><\/p>\n

Recall that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin may resort to a temporary lull on the front to allow for a vote in Ukraine.<\/a> His logic is based on the fact that the electoral process is likely to intensify internal opposition in Ukrainian society. <\/p>\n
