EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Cos stated that despite the fact that Ukraine is an important partner of the European Union, accession to the bloc by 2027 is impossible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone in this room knows that Ukraine cannot become a member of the EU on January 1, 2027,\u201d Kos said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The European official explained: in order for Ukraine to be accepted into the EU, it is necessary to achieve peace and implement reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFirst you need peace \u2014 that\u2019s important \u2014 then you have to implement reforms\u2026 investors will come, as you know, and in Ukraine, only when they can make money and if their investments are safe,\u201d the commissioner added.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, according to her, Ukraine is a key partner of the European Union in the field of innovation, defense and other strategic sectors that can help increase global competitiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n
