On the night of Wednesday, March 25, drones struck the Vyborg Shipbuilding Plant in the Leningrad Region. The attack set a dry cargo ship on fire and damaged a Project 23550 patrol icebreaker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy Sternenko.<\/p>\n

Local residents also noticed a fire on the territory of the enterprise: a dry cargo ship caught fire. <\/p>\n

The pictures probably show the patrol icebreaker “Purga” of project 23550, the completion of which was planned to be transferred to the Admiralty Shipyards of the Russian Construction Company.<\/p>\n

Vyborg Shipbuilding Plant is one of the key enterprises in Russia, specializing in the construction of ice-class civilian ships and offshore equipment. Previously, the Admiralty Shipyards were considered as a site for completing the construction of the icebreaker “Burga” for the Russian FSB border service.<\/p>\n
