On the night of Thursday, March 26, a Russian drone crashed in Romania, shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Romanian Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

According to the Romanian military, Russian drones have attacked civilian and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine near the border with Romania. Two F-16 aircraft have been scrambled to monitor the air situation.<\/p>\n

“At 00:44, the drone, shot down by Ukrainian air defense, entered national airspace at a distance of approximately 4 kilometers. The drone crashed 2 km from the city of Parchesi, outside the settlement,” the Romanian Ministry of Defense noted. <\/p>\n

An IGSU fire truck and Ministry of National Defense crews arrived at the scene. They found a burned area of vegetation and the remains of the drone.<\/p>\n

It is unknown if there were any material damages or injuries from the incident.<\/p>\n

Recall that on the night of Wednesday, March 25, drones from Russia flew into the airspace of the Baltic countries<\/a> . One of them crashed into the chimney of a power plant in Estonia, and another exploded in Latvia – the wreckage of the drone was found on the ground.<\/p>\n
