The former head of one of the district territorial recruitment centers in the Kyiv region will be tried for the illegal confiscation of eight vehicles from entrepreneurs, allegedly for military needs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The State Bureau of Investigation<\/span><\/span> reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, an official illegally seized vehicles from two freight transport companies. The procedure was carried out without the necessary documentation, and the acceptance certificates were backdated.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Although the vehicles were seized under the pretext of being donated to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they were never actually delivered to military units. As a result of these actions, businesses suffered damages of over 4 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Part of the damage has already been compensated: three vehicles, worth a total of approximately 1 million hryvnias, have been donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The accused’s actions are classified as abuse of power under martial law. He faces up to 12 years in prison. The indictment has already been submitted to the court.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, a man died in Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast, after being taken to the territorial recruitment center for a military registration check<\/a> . The TRC claims the cause of death was alcohol poisoning, while the victim’s family is insisting on a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy.<\/p>\n
