In Volyn, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained an official of the territorial recruitment center, who, together with other servicemen, used force against a 60-year-old man during an attempted mobilization. The victim received moderate injuries, and a preventive measure was chosen for the suspect.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident occurred on March 20 in the village of Zabolottya, Kovel district. According to the investigation, three CCC employees approached a local resident who was fishing and began to use physical force on him.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the man was not eligible for conscription due to his age, they tried to forcefully mobilize him. His arm was broken behind his back and a bone was broken with displacement.<\/p>\n

After that, one of the soldiers used a stun gun and pepper spray, which caused chemical burns to the eyes. According to the investigation, the wheels of the victim’s car were also damaged.<\/p>\n

As a result of the incident, the man received moderate injuries that led to long-term health problems.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers informed the head of a group of one of the departments of the Kovel RTCC and SP about suspicion under Part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of house arrest.<\/p>\n

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Investigators are preparing to suspect other participants in the incident.<\/p>\n

“The mobilization process must take place in strict accordance with the Law, without violating human and civil rights,” the department noted.<\/p>\n
