At least 12 American service members were wounded in the Iranian attack on Prince Sultan Air Base<\/span><\/span> . Two of them are in serious condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CNN<\/span><\/span> and Reuters<\/span><\/span> reported this, citing sources in the American authorities.<\/p>\n

According to one official, some of the wounded suffered shrapnel injuries that were not life-threatening. Meanwhile, military equipment, including a tanker aircraft, was damaged during the attack.<\/p>\n

According to The New York Times<\/span><\/span> , the attack was a combined effort \u2013 Iran used both missiles and drones. According to the publication, this is one of the most serious breaches of American air defenses in recent memory.<\/p>\n

In addition to the wounded, aircraft sustained significant damage\u2014at least two KC-135 Stratotanker<\/span><\/span> tanker aircraft.<\/p>\n

Trump earlier said the US and Iran had held talks, following which he ordered a five-day halt to the strikes<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Subsequently, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that there were no direct negotiations with the United States<\/a> , and Trump did not abandon his military plans.<\/p>\n
