On Saturday, March 28, the third round of large-scale “No Kings” protests against Donald Trump’s<\/span><\/span> policies took place in the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reuters<\/span><\/span> reports this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In total, more than 3,200 events were planned across the country. The events spanned all 50 states and were even larger than previous ones, with a significant increase in participation from residents of smaller communities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The largest rallies took place in New York<\/span><\/span> , Dallas<\/span><\/span> , Philadelphia<\/span><\/span> , and Washington<\/span><\/span> , D.C. In New York, tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Manhattan, blocking more than 10 city blocks. Actor Robert De Niro<\/span><\/span> , who supported the protest, stated that no president had ever posed such a threat to the country’s freedoms and security.<\/p>\n

Minnesota<\/span><\/span> became one of the centers of the protests, where a mass rally took place at the state capitol in St. Paul. Governor Tim Walz<\/span><\/span> and Senator Bernie Sanders<\/span><\/span> addressed the participants. Musician Bruce Springsteen<\/span><\/span> also performed a song dedicated to the events in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

Near Dallas,<\/span><\/span> clashes erupted between protesters and counterprotesters affiliated with the Proud Boys<\/span><\/span> , led by Enrique Tarrio<\/span><\/span> . Police arrested several people.<\/p>\n

In Los Angeles,<\/span><\/span> law enforcement officers detained two people after attacks on federal officers, injuring two of them.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The protests also had an anti-war character, with participants speaking out against US and Israeli actions in Iran and criticizing the Trump administration’s immigration policies.<\/p>\n

Organizers note that in the lead-up to the November midterm elections, anti-presidential activism is growing even in traditionally Republican states. Previous “No Kings” protests attracted millions of people: up to 6 million in June of last year, and around 7 million in the fall.<\/p>\n
