Long-range drones from the Security Service of Ukraine’s<\/span><\/span> Alpha Special Operations Center struck an oil terminal at the port of Ust-Luga<\/span><\/span> for the second time in a week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the night of March 29, drones struck the facility’s infrastructure. The attack resulted in serious damage and a fire.<\/p>\n

The port of Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s key maritime hubs on the Baltic Sea, through which oil is exported, including through the use of the so-called shadow fleet.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The intelligence agency noted that it, together with the defense forces, continues systematic work to reduce the enemy’s financial and logistical capabilities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“All oil facilities are effectively part of the Russian military-industrial complex and provide funds for the war against Ukraine. Such special operations will continue,” noted acting SBU head Yevhen Khmara<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder,powerful explosions rocked Russia’s Leningrad Oblast<\/a> on the night of Friday, March 27. Drones targeted oil terminals in Ust-Luga and Primorsk. This is the second attack on these facilities in recent memory.<\/p>\n

On the night of March 29, drones once again attacked the Leningrad region of Russia. According to Russian claims, more than 30 drones were shot down. Meanwhile , the port of Ust-Luga sustained further damage<\/a> as a result of the attack, with a fire breaking out.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile , Russia is introducing a ban on gasoline exports<\/a> effective April 1, 2026, due to declining production and rising prices. Officially, the government explains the move as a need to stabilize the domestic market, but the actual reason is a series of drone strikes on oil refining infrastructure.<\/p>\n
