The Kremlin has reacted to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal for an Easter truce.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

The Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Moscow does not support the idea of a ceasefire for the holidays. According to him, the proposal is allegedly not “clearly formulated.”<\/p>\n

At the same time, he tried to explain Ukraine’s position in his own way. Peskov said that Kyiv was “desperately” seeking a ceasefire due to the situation on the front.<\/p>\n

Separately, the Kremlin representative emphasized that Russia expects from Ukraine not a temporary ceasefire, but a “peace decision.”<\/p>\n

“We emphasize once again: Zelensky must take responsibility and make an appropriate decision so that we reach peace, not a truce,” Peskov said.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his readiness for any format of ceasefire<\/a> , in particular for Easter. Ukraine will agree to a truce provided that Russia completely stops its attacks.<\/p>\n
