A 25-year-old man was detained in the Cherkasy region, suspected of raping and beating an 85-year-old woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, on the night of March 28, the suspect, while intoxicated, entered the home of an 85-year-old woman. Using physical force, he committed violent sexual acts against the victim.<\/p>\n

As a result of the attack, the woman suffered serious injuries, including a fractured femoral neck.<\/p>\n

The suspect has now been detained. <\/p>\n

At the prosecutor’s request, the court chose a preventive measure for him – detention.<\/p>\n

If found guilty, the suspect faces a prison sentence of three to five years.<\/p>\n

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Monastyryshchensky Department of the Uman District Prosecutor’s Office, a 25-year-old resident of the Uman district was reported suspected of illegal entry into a home, rape, and negligent infliction of grievous bodily harm (Part 1 of Article 162, Part 1 of Article 152, Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n

As a reminder, prosecutors have submitted to the court an indictment against a 56-year-old former physical education teacher from Kharkiv, who is accused of raping and corrupting schoolchildren.<\/a><\/p>\n
