NASA has released<\/a> new photos of Earth taken by Orion commander Reed Wiseman during the Artemis II mission, the first manned flight around the Moon in over 50 years.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The Artemis II mission launched on April 2 at 01:24 Kyiv time from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Space Launch System rocket, together with the Orion spacecraft, successfully put the crew on a trajectory to the Moon.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Four astronauts are on board: Reed Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. The mission has become symbolic – it includes the first black astronaut to fly such a flight, the first woman and the first Canadian in deep space.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The crew has already left Earth orbit and headed toward the Moon, the first such flight with humans on board since the Apollo program.<\/p>\n

During the mission, the astronauts already faced the first difficulties – a brief loss of communication and everyday challenges in flight conditions.<\/p>\n

Artemis II is a key milestone in the Artemis program, which is intended to return humans to the Moon and prepare for future missions.<\/p>\n
