In Ivano-Frankivsk on April 5, a police officer hit a man at a crosswalk and left the scene. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Ivano-Frankivsk region Police.<\/p>\n

The traffic accident occurred at around 00:26 on Halytska Street. It has been previously established that the driver of the car hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, after which he left the scene.<\/p>\n

As a result of the collision, a man born in 1994 died at the scene from his injuries.<\/p>\n

During the initial investigation, law enforcement officers identified the vehicle and the driver, who turned out to be a 26-year-old employee of the Ivano-Frankivsk District Police Department.<\/p>\n

After establishing his whereabouts, he was taken for primary investigative actions.<\/p>\n

Upon the fact of the accident, the materials will be transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation.<\/p>\n

“The Precarpathian Police will do their utmost to facilitate a full, comprehensive and objective investigation into the circumstances of this traffic accident,” the police said.<\/p>\n

Recall that on the night of March 6, during the curfew in Vinnytsia, patrol police officers noticed a Toyota Land Cruiser and signaled the driver to stop. However, the 25-year-old driver of the SUV ignored the law enforcement officers’ request and began to flee. He crashed into a street sweeper driven by a 55-year-old man. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.<\/a><\/p>\n
