On the night of April 6, Russian troops attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv Oblast. The strikes left hundreds of thousands of subscribers in several cities and districts without electricity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is noted that as a result of the shelling of an energy facility in the Nizhyn district, 340,000 subscribers in the cities of Chernihiv and Pryluky, as well as in the Chernihiv and Pryluky districts, were left without electricity.<\/p>\n

In addition, an attack on a power facility in the Novgorod-Siversky district was recorded at night, which left more than 10,000 consumers without electricity.<\/p>\n

The head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, reported<\/a> that a total of 4 hits on energy facilities in the region were recorded. According to him, most districts of the Chernihiv region are currently without electricity.<\/p>\n

He also noted that Chernihiv and communities are switching to alternative power sources to provide critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The mayor of Slavutych, Yuriy Fomichev, reported<\/a> that the city was also left without electricity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWater supply is on standby. We are responding to the situation as it develops,\u201d said Yuriy Fomichev.<\/p>\n

The press service of the Chernihiv City Council reported that due to the lack of voltage in the city, all trolleybuses have temporarily stopped operating. Transportation on routes No. 2 and No. 11 is provided by buses.<\/p>\n

Energy workers plan to begin emergency restoration work as soon as the security situation allows.<\/p>\n
