On the night of April 8, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 176 attack drones of various types. Air defense forces destroyed most of the hostile targets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/span><\/span> reported this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to military data, the enemy used Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerber, Italmas, and other UAVs. Launches were carried out in several directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and also from Chauda in occupied Crimea. Approximately 120 of the launched UAVs were Shaheds.<\/p>\n

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces were deployed to repel the attack.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defenses have destroyed or suppressed 146 enemy drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.<\/p>\n

At the same time, 24 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 12 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed drones at another location.<\/p>\n

The attack caused damage in several regions. Specifically, explosions were heard in the Poltava and Chernihiv regions, as well as in the south of the country.<\/p>\n

Separately, a massive strike was reported in the southern Odessa region, damaging civilian and port infrastructure. Rescuers extinguished all fires, deploying 28 personnel and seven pieces of equipment, along with National Guard units and local fire brigades.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Air Force emphasized that the attack continued after eight o’clock, with enemy drones remaining in the sky. Therefore, citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to observe safety regulations.<\/p>\n
