Iran announced an attack by the US and Israel on an oil refinery located on the island of Laban.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the Iranian channel Press TV on the social network X.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn violation of the ceasefire agreement, US-Israeli forces shelled the Laban oil refinery on Laban Island,\u201d the report said.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to media reports, firefighters were working at the scene of the attack to put out the flames.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Iranian state television announced retaliatory strikes, using missiles and drones.<\/span> As<\/span> Al Jazeera noted<\/span><\/a> , several Gulf countries came under fire within hours of the ceasefire announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The United Arab Emirates announced that its air defenses were repelling the air attack, intercepting targets flying in from Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAir defense systems are currently dealing with missiles and drones coming from Iran,\u201d the UAE Ministry of Defense said.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Kuwait’s defense ministry reported “intense hostile attacks by Iran.” At least 28 drones were intercepted over the country, some of which were aimed at “vital oil installations and power plants.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bahraini Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that people there were injured due to Iranian drone strikes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTwo citizens were slightly injured and several houses were damaged in the Sitra area due to shrapnel that fell during the interception of an Iranian drone,\u201d the ministry said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said the country was targeted by seven ballistic missiles and several drones launched from Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among other things, Saudi Arabia was also under attack. According to<\/span> the FT<\/span><\/a> , a drone attacked the East-West pipeline, which transports oil to the Red Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Iran confirmed the achievement of a two-week ceasefire with the US<\/a> and stated its readiness to open the Strait of Hormuz for this period.<\/p>\n
