A large-scale free concert under the slogan “System-Destroying Concert” took place in the Hungarian capital, Budapest<\/span><\/span> , where dozens of musicians criticized the current government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The concert took place at Heroes’ Square<\/span><\/span> , where more than 50 performers presented satirical and critical songs against the government.<\/p>\n

The initiative was initiated by publicist Robert Puger<\/span><\/span> . He said the idea arose after a conversation with singer Azahriah<\/span><\/span> , who agreed to perform a song he had specially written before the elections, criticizing the system.<\/p>\n

The event started at 4:00 pm, and within an hour and a half the square was filled with people, mostly young people.<\/p>\n

During the concert, participants chanted anti-government slogans, in particular against the Fidesz party, as well as cries of “Russians, go home!”<\/p>\n

Calls for change and participation in elections were heard from the stage:
“If you don’t want to be like Viktor Orb\u00e1n, sing with us” and “See you in the polling booths on Sunday.”<\/p>\n

Police have stepped up security measures, including surrounding the Russian embassy and the headquarters of Prime Minister Viktor Orban<\/span><\/span> ‘s Fidesz party.<\/p>\n

The event is already being compared to the 1990 protests, when Fidesz itself organized similar events on the eve of elections.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Orban is on a campaign tour across the country, saying he aims to “collect a million handshakes” from his fans.<\/p>\n

His main opponent, Tisza party leader P\u00e9ter Magyar<\/span><\/span> , is also campaigning to encourage citizens to vote actively.<\/p>\n

US President Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> previously spoke out in support of Orban, promising economic support for Hungary.<\/p>\n

The elections, which will take place on April 12, are considered key for the country’s future.<\/p>\n
