Swedish law enforcement detained the bulk carrier Hui Yuan on suspicion of dumping waste into the Baltic Sea<\/span><\/span> . The incident occurred while a coast guard aircraft was patrolling the area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the agency, the Panamanian-flagged vessel was dumping coal residue into the water, which may violate environmental laws. The bulk carrier was inspected near Ystad<\/span><\/span> on the morning of April 12 at the request of the prosecutor’s office.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Coast Guard spokesman Daniel Stenling emphasized that Swedish authorities work together to ensure maritime safety and environmental protection. They intervene promptly if suspicious vessel activity is detected.<\/p>\n

A preliminary investigation has now been launched in Sweden<\/span><\/span> , and the prosecutor has already initiated hearings on possible violations of environmental regulations.<\/p>\n
