US President Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> said the country’s Navy will soon begin blocking ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump wrote<\/a> about this on the social network Truth Social.<\/p>\n

He stated that the restrictions would persist until they ensure complete navigation safety. Trump accused Iran<\/span><\/span> of creating a threat by mining the waters and claimed that this is precisely what makes free passage impossible for ships.<\/p>\n

The American leader also instructed the military to inspect and detain vessels in international waters if they had paid duties to Iran. He emphasized that such payments were “illegal” and would not guarantee safe passage.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the US plans to launch an operation to destroy naval mines in the strait. Trump warned that Iranian forces would face a harsh response for any attacks.<\/p>\n

According to him, other countries may also join the deal. The situation around the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of global oil traffic passes, remains tense and has potential global economic consequences.<\/p>\n

On the eve, US President Donald Trump stated that countries affected by Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz should “take their oil back” themselves.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier, it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf<\/a>, a key shipping lane for oil from the Middle East. Oil tanker traffic in the strait has been effectively halted, and vessels have reduced their speed to zero.<\/p>\n

As is known, in his first statement, Iran’s new leader emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed<\/a>. He said the blockade is putting pressure on Israel and the United States.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually resume shipping<\/a> in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
