As a result, the ZNPP was left without any external power source.<\/p>\n<p> Backup diesel generators have been automatically activated to support critical systems. An IAEA team remains on site monitoring the situation.<\/p>\n<p> The department emphasizes that such incidents once again demonstrate the risks to nuclear safety in wartime.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe loss of external power supply once again highlights the risks to nuclear security during conflict,\u201d said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.<\/p>\n<p> The agency also reported that it is negotiating with both sides to agree on a local ceasefire.
