It would also be worth lowering the oil price ceiling, thereby reducing the Kremlin&#8217;s revenues, Fried explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSolving the problem of oil access without maximizing Russia\u2019s profits from that oil was two perfectly reasonable steps, and the Trump administration did neither of them,\u201d he concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It was previously reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/sanktsii-pid-pytanniam-vashynhton-znovu-pide-na-postupky-rf\/\">the US is preparing to continue easing sanctions on Russian oil<\/a> in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ssha-na-30-dniv-poslabyly-sanktsii-na-rosiysku-naftu\/\">the US has eased sanctions for 30 days and allowed the purchase of Russian oil and petroleum products<\/a> that are already being transported by sea. This exemption applies only to raw materials on tankers en route.<\/p>\n<p>As is known, amid the escalation of the conflict over Iran and disruptions to oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, Russian budget revenues have increased sharply.
