On Thursday, April 16, a shooting incident occurred at a school in Transcarpathia. A 9th grade student pulled out a gun during class and fired, wounding his classmate. After that, the minor fled, but was later detained by law enforcement officers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the National Police.<\/p>\n

“Today at 09:30, the hotline 102 received a report that a 9th grade student was threatening participants in the educational process. The minor suddenly took out a gun during a lesson and fired two shots – one of which wounded his classmate. After that, the boy fled in an unknown direction,” the message says.<\/p>\n

The police say they quickly launched a search operation and detained the teenager. Investigators and juvenile police officers are working at the scene. <\/p>\n

Doctors examined the victim – his life and health are not in danger.<\/p>\n

“The police seized a gun \u2014 preliminary, traumatic,” law enforcement officials reported. <\/p>\n

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established, including how the weapon ended up in the hands of a minor. The issue of the legal qualification of the event is being resolved.<\/p>\n

As reported, on March 8 , a shooting occurred in Lviv during a conflict between two men<\/a> . The victim was hospitalized, and law enforcement is currently searching for the shooter.<\/p>\n
