Europe will direct the first tranche of aid allocated within the billion-dollar loan to the purchase of drones for Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated the day before by European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius,<\/span> reported<\/span><\/a> “European Truth”.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the drones purchased with loan funds will be Ukrainian-made.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the official, Ukraine has requested defense assistance worth a total of over 28 billion euros this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe first product supply plan focuses on drones from Ukraine’s advanced defense industry,\u201d Kubilius explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that further plans are underway to involve the European defense industry more in the supply of future plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the European Commission expects that the first funds under the new \u20ac90 billion loan package for Ukraine may arrive by the end of the second quarter<\/a> of 2026.<\/p>\n

As is known, the European Union hopes to unblock a billion-dollar loan for Ukraine as soon as possible<\/a> and impose new sanctions against Russia amid Viktor Orban’s defeat in the parliamentary elections in Hungary.<\/p>\n

By the way, the future Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, stated that Budapest will lift its veto on a 90 billion loan for Ukraine after the restoration of the Druzhba oil pipeline<\/a> .<\/p>\n
