Police are investigating the shooting at the Chopa school as an act of terrorism.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported<\/a> by the police of the Transcarpathian region.<\/p>\n

According to law enforcement, a 15-year-old student fired several shots from a pistol while at school and wounded a classmate.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The victim was given medical assistance, and his life is not in danger. The shooter, who tried to escape, was detained by police within minutes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information, the teenager may have acted under the influence of unidentified individuals he contacted via messenger after meeting in an online game. He reported receiving threats against his loved ones if he did not comply with the demands.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation also established that the pistol used was a silencer, but it had been converted into a firearm.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions to establish all the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved.<\/p>\n

The event was classified as a terrorist act under Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, a shooting incident occurred at a school in Transcarpathia on April 16.<\/a> A 9th grade student pulled out a gun during class and fired, wounding his classmate.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on March 8, a shooting occurred in Lviv during a conflict between two men<\/a> . The victim was hospitalized, and law enforcement is currently searching for the shooter.<\/p>\n
